Hi guys,

My name is Mike Chou and I cheer on Ultimate Canadian Cheer. Some of you may remember me from two years ago from the Vegas trip where we shared the practice gym in the middle of nowhere with each other.

I am posting this on your website in hopes that some of you that remember me, or some that don't know me would be willing to help me with my cause.

I will be doing this ride next year to raise money for Cancer Research benefiting the Princess Margaret Hospital. Here is a brief description for you.

The Ride to Conquer Cancer™

Think of it as a history-making opportunity for you to do something big about cancer, something epic. Like cycling from Toronto to Niagara Falls. Over 200 kilometres in two days on the weekend of June 20-22, 2008. Sure, it sounds like a lot… and it’s meant to be. That’s because we’re on a conquest. And those don’t come easy. But make no mistake, this event isn’t just for athletes or cycling enthusiasts. The Ride to Conquer Cancer is for anyone who wants to challenge themselves for a great cause. Even people who haven’t ridden since they were twelve. All you need is motivation, a bike, and a helmet. The rest is history. Be part of it.

The Conquest: What is The Ride to Conquer Cancer ?

The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a unique, two-day cycling event to take place June 20-22, 2008. During this bold cycling journey, you will ride over 200k from Toronto to Niagara Falls! Now I know that everyone has their own reason for doing such a thing. Some people are doing it for health reasons, some for themselves and some for their families. I, like most you know, am not the biggest fundraising person however I have my reason as well.

My mom

The woman who has brought me into this world and shown me unconditional love has fallen ill to this horrendous disease. Week after week she endures hospital visits, needles, blood tests, x-rays etc. and the never ending fatigue all so that she may be able to live a little longer. All I can do is to give my mom a big hug, attempt to cheer her up and try to move on with the day. I’m sure that everyone has seen their fair share of problems and this may be just another friend with just another problem, but I urge you to look inside your heart and for a moment feel the wretched pain that I feel, knowing that I may lose my most loved person to a disease that so many have lived through but yet so many have died from.

I’m not asking for anything. However if you would like to help this worthy cause that I am riding for please make a donation. Any amount is good by me as long as I know that I have your support.

My goal is to raise $5000.00
